9月11日-12日，台湾长庚大学教授、IEEE Fellow郭仁财（Jen-Tsai Kuo）博士受邀访问了重庆大学通信工程学院，并作了平面滤波器研究方面的精彩报告“Recent Advances in Design of Planar Filters”。 期间，郭教授就微波无源器件理论与技术的研究现状以及国际上未来几年内的发展趋势，与天线与电波传播实验室师生进行了广泛、深入地交流与探讨，在座师生受益匪浅。

郭教授简介：

Prof. Jen-Tsai Kuo received the Ph.D. degree from the Institute of Electronics, National Chiao Tung University (NCTU), Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 1992. In 1984 – 2010, he was with the Department of Communication Engineering, NCTU. In 1995 – 1996, he was a Visiting Scholar with the EE Department, UCLA, USA. He is now a professor with Department of Electronic Engineering, Chang Gung University, Taoyuan, Taiwan.

Prof. Kuo has received a lot of recognitions both domestically and internationally. He was a recipient of the Best Paper Award presented at the 2002 National Telecomm Conf, Taiwan, the 2007 APMC Prize, Bangkok, Thailand, and the 2008 APMC Prize, Hong Kong, China. One of his advised students won the Best Student Paper Award from the APMC2012. He was the recipient of the 2006 “Taiwan Citation Laureate” presented by the Thomson Scientific®, Singapore, based on his top-1%-citation IEEE TMTT publications in the research category. He was also a recipient of the 2007 Distinguished Research Award presented by the NSC, Taiwan.

Prof. Kuo’s Chinese version of Pozar’s “Microwave Engineering” textbook has been sold 7000+ copies and widely adopted by many microwave graduate institutes in Taiwan. He was an associate editor for the IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques in 2008 – 2010, and has been an IEEE Fellow since 2014. His research interests include analysis and design of microwave integrated circuits and numerical techniques in electromagnetics.
